Tres Jolie, Madam

Ooh I love hats! Though the one I wore to Royal Ascot last year was recycled from the previous year (mon dieu!) so I am determined to buy a new hat this year! (I guess I better start saving pronto… :)).  Anyway, this is the latest release from Solidea Folies* which is modern yet still cute…I think the addition of the roses adds a touch of femininity without being OTT. Necklace is from Miel (previous FLF item).  Gorgeous Skin was a previous gift from Illusory (worth joining the Group for sure for future gifts etc) . Model Shape is Scarlett (soon to be releases @ CS Shapes Group Gift).  Dress is an old favorite from AMD.  Poses are Everglow.  I love the effect of this  Kyoot Eye Make-up from The Seasons Hunt on this Lara Hurley Sophie skin.  There are 4 different styles and shades in the pack, and perfect to give your skin that icey cool oriental look.  You will also get a lovely Glitter Top at Kyoot in the gift pack! 

I have loved this hunt…. the designers have been extremely generous & many of the gifts have had that extra little something which hopefully will make us spend a little more!  Yes I know, times are hard. For everyone.  One only has to see the number of businesses collapsing to get a real feel of the dangerous undercurrents that SL entrepreneurs have to face.  The monstrosity that is the SL tier has made it very difficult for many to survive, and the pressures to work your socks off for little or no personal gain whatsoever is enormous (other than those acquired by LL of course).  This makes it all the more an uneven playing field.  I dunno.  No simple solutions exist sadly, other than encouraging spending.  Thanks again to all the designers for the fabulous gifts!  More piccies below with the links to the Hunt items. Miss Puddleduck rules ok!

This deliciously ruffled Chocolate Bulky Sweater is one of the many fantastic designs you can buy from RunoRuno** for only $50!  I am minded that everyone may be feeling the pinch atm and RunoRuno*‘s prices are very modest!  What you get in return is clever sculpted designs in silk, linen and wool textures.  I loved ALL her designs! Stylish :[SE Designz]: Overalls + Cute Morgan Skins @ TheShe (Giftie)

I had ol’ Xanthers in these Brown Striped Overalls by [SE Designz] over the weekend which is often a sign that I truely like the look of something…the “2 day” rule which proves (yet again) that I am not an  SL Fashionistas (those sophisticted bods  tend to change clothes atleast 10 times a day…giggles*). 

Anyway, Happy New Year to you all!..Hope you have all been left you with a warm glow (as opposed to a “yellow” glow due to acute liver damage on account of all those tipples).  Hmmm…I do hope you are still with me..I know some of you are likely to regard my chatterings as a foreign language lolz 🙂 .

This skin is the rather pretty Morgan Skin* @ TheShe (ty for tip Dee!).  You might want to try a few other demos on offer.  I think 2011 is going to see an emergence of new & seriously great skins…this brand is deffo one to watch.  Facial detail nice on this particular skin.

Miel’s terrific Pumpkin Raider Dress*

I thought it was time for a bit of colorrrrrrrr after all the black and brownie hues..plus there is pumpkin love which needs a tiny celebration….which reminds me I need to make Pumpkin Pie!  Anyway, this has to be one of my favorite Halloween Gifts so far, the Pumpkin Raider Dress (Gift) @ Miel.  Check out that detail!  Oh and the pumpkins are animated which made me giggle.  They are soo cute and cheered up a dull, miserable, rainy day in England.  Ty Miel!

Phantom of the Den-Dou*, innit?

Yes, Den-Dou does make exceptionally good skins & has quite an eclectic collection to suit all SL predilections, including Goth & Vamp plus some pretty, natural looking skins you want to kiss.  But the one above is a Halloween Gatcha offer ($100) which has borrowed a look from the modern depictions of the Phantom of the Opera*.  Anyway, you get two sets of Female skins (see above) plus a set of Male skins, which I have passed on to my male alt, Natters, so hopefully I will blog that at some point.   It’s about time he left his rather boyish, conservative look behind and got a little dark & dirty (look-wise I mean lolz).  Natter’s idol is M4M..sigh*…I will need a hammer and chisel to prize  Natters from his “baggy surf shorts” ensemble and go hell for leather, masks, studs and spears (! ).  Heh. 😀  

Incidentally….please note that I have added both Lipstick & Cleavage to Den-Dou’s skins which on it’s own is pretty enough but I just wanted to play around with it!   The original lips are very pale and come half open/closed.  I am a fan of lippy in rl and seem to have  developed a penchant for the current lippy fad tattoo layer in SL. I think I need to go hunting for more to widen mon collecionne*. 🙂

Accidental purchase, happily

I found myself in one of those situations, distracted by one thing or another & although I can multi-task like the best of them, I clicked “buy” by mistake, cringed inwardly, resigned myself to the fact that it was one of those things, only to look around and see it on the MM Board!  Whoops! Happily, this Gold Sprite Dress @ Wishbox is actually quite cute.  So I decided to make good my accidental purchase..and if you like it you can try your luck on the MM Board or like me, buy it and enjoy it :).

Being Cutesy*

As usual Xanthe landed in an unexpected place (usually falling from the sky at speed because a shop has recently moved location or no longer exists).  Her AO makes the landing a rather undignified affair with legs splayed & arms flaying about like a silly thing from which she emerges brushing herself down casually (in case anyone watching), trying to look nonplussed which always makes me giggle.  However, this time she landed on a cute Japanese Pose shop , *Mana-na* with a mere handful of Poses from $13-$20 each!  All very cute poses which suited this cute look.  The outfit is a combination of a pretty Khaki Skirt from {SMS} (FLF) and a Sheer Black Top from AMD .  I have blogged this top before but used it again as it went really well with this skirt! :)).  Yup, sexy looks were off the menu today cos today Xanthers is doing “cutesy” :).
